Did You Know?

Some information you don't really need, but can impress you friends with!

«   - John Deacon is the only member to not sing on any Queen recordings, though some people try to dispute that
«   - Freddie designed the Queen crest based on their star signs – 2 lions for Roger and John (Leo), a crab for Brian (Cancer), and 2 fairies for Freddie (Virgo)
«   - Freddie also came up with the name "Queen". He liked it because it was regal and sounds 'splendid'
   - All of Queen’s albums up until “The Game” mention that there were no synthesizers used. That’s because Brian’s homemade guitar didn’t sound like a “normal” guitar

«   - In 1992, after being included in the movie Wayne’s World, "Bohemian Rhapsody re-entered the charts and became # 1 again, making it the 1st recording to hit # 1 on two completely different occasions
«   - In 1992, the song “Barcelona”, which Freddie recorded with opera singer Montserrat Caballé in 1987, became the theme song for the 1992 Olympics
   - In the credits for "A Day at the Races" Freddie is creditted with 'Choir Meister' and 'Tantrum', Brian with 'Leader of the Orchestra', and Roger with 'Pandemonium'
   - "A Night at the Opera" and "A Day at the Races" are named after two Marx Brothers movies
